"My philosophy is to instill in my students a love of learning and to help them experience success at school regardless of their needs and level of performance." |
Judy Lowry • Morton Middle School, Language Arts, 17th year of teaching. "I believe in high expectations for all students. I try to use differentiated learning styles in order for all students to be successful. As a member of Morton's Closing The Gap team, I am working hard to make sure that communication is available to parents and students, at all times, to help close our achievement gap. And finally, I try to make sure that each one of my students know that they are special and cared about in my classroom." |

"Teaching is a career not a job! Every day give 100 percent of yourself to your students. Always remember that you are their voice and never be timid about speaking up for what is best for the welfare of them. It is so true. What you give, you will get back tenfold!" |
Rebecca Wood • Tates Creek High School, Math, 28th year of teaching "I set high standards for all my students because I firmly believe the majority of students will rise to the level of your expectation. I attempt to create an environment where students recognize I respect and value them as individuals and not just as math students." |
